John Deere MT
I found a old John Deere Model MT on my land the other day and do not know if it is worth anything or not and would like some help if anyone can help me. I have some info off the tractor that I can share

There is one on CL in our area that looks decent, asking $2000. Another (no picture), $3800, which is probably way too high, IMHO! ~~ grnspot

Value will depend on condition of sheet metal, engine & TIRES. Engine running with decent tires $1250-$2000

The value can range any were from $600 to $5000 depending on what some one wants to pay. It all depends on the condition of the tires, metal and the amount of work required to get it going. The Deere MT's are very nice tractors with the power troll hydraulics and rollomatic front end. Does your MT have the belt pully and PTO as they were optional assesorys. Any pictures to shoe. If you have not learned yet a picture is worth a thousand words.

I had a Model MT for a few years. It had a two point lift and I bought a 3pt conversion for it. I had a model with very long axles which are great for gardening/row crops. I also had a cultivator for it. I wish I never sold it. I was able to get a manual for it (with color clear overlays) which showed the hydraulic workings and flow in various situations. If I see another one for sale in my area I will buy it. I sold mine for $1500 30 years ago.

IIRC MT's didn't have the option of Roll-A-matic frt ends or Power-trol hyd's. Yes they had Touch-O-Matic hyd's

Bought my MT for $1200 about 20 years ago. Pulled a lot of fire wood and plowed a lot of snow with it. The whole time i had it I thought it would tip over. That must be what the "T' stands for. I was glad to have it and glad to get rid of it for $1500 three years ago.

You are correct with the Touch-O-Matic Hydraulics. I am pretty sure they came with the option of roll-a-matic front ends. From Tractor data.com

The MT is a tricycle version of the model M. It was the first Deere tractor to feature dual-control Touch-O-Matic hydraulics, allowing each side to be raised independently. The MT was available with a single front wheel, dual front wheels, Roll-O-Matic, or adjustable wide-front. The Roll-O-Matic was designed to reduce shock in the front end of the tractor.

Roll-O-Matic was utilized on Waterloo tractors but no Dubuque tractors until the 1010/2010 models had Roll-O-Matic frt ends. 1010/2010 Roll-O-Matic frt end which I think can be used on older Dubuque tractors. But no Roll-O-Matic frt ends are listed in the M parts catalog
