Hello fellow forum members. I recently purchased a complete model 47 snowblower for my JD 855 and I was wondering if anyone had an installation guideline. Thank you for you your help. Sam

I am just finishing the installation of a 54" snowblower on my JD2520. I found the manual online on the Deere site.

Did you not get the manual with the 47 snowblower?

Thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately, the previous owner did not have the operators manual. I'm on the phone now with JD and someone is trying to find it for me. Fingers crossed. Has anyone found/learned of a good way to store a model 70A loader?

Thanks for the input. After fiddling around with the machine for a bit, I figured out how to mount the snowblower on my own. I did order the operators manual from JD just to have it handy, but the install turned out to be fairly straightforward. Here are some pics of the snowblower almost mounted as well as my other JD 210 which is used for firewood hauling and general lawn cleanup.IMG_2302.jpgIMG_2319.jpg

For me, storing the 70A demands a reasonably level location. I found that if I just park the loader anywhere, when I go to mount it up again I have a heck of a time getting it to seat properly. I always park mine under a shed when not in use. During the winter months, I keep the loader on all of the time as I use it quite frequently even then.

I've thought if I were to buy a snow blower for my 855, I could leave the mounting bracket on the frame while also having the loader on. Take the loader off and attach the blower as needed.

Ive got the blower mounted and the up down function works fine. However, during my first test of chute rotation, one of the cables that was connected to the chute itself came off. Now, I cannot figure out how to properly route the cables for proper rotation. My operators manual has still not arrived and I could not find suitable info online about my particular unit (Model 47 for 855 series tractors). Does anyone have a good link or image of the properly routed cables? Thank you-Sam
