model 149 cub no fuel to plug

i have a model 149 cub cadet and the fuel comes up into the carb properly but doesnt get to the plug. Does anyone know why? thanks Don

Check float is not stuck some how ....

float is fine, and fuel getting into carb. i have spark and when plug is pulled air blows out of the hole pretty good. dont know why its not enough to get fuel to plug....

How about an intake manifold leak..if the air is leaking around a gasket or something it won't suck thru the carb

The nuts under the valve springs r loose. They shouldnt be should they? Thanks Don

i was just wondering would it run if u spray some fuel in the air cleaner would it run? miy 109 acted the same way but wouldnt start with fuel starter in the air cleaner,come to find out it was the points

I took it back to the guy who rebuilt the engine and he said the head gasket blew so i assume he did not have it torqued to spec and the valves were not adjusted properly

Hawkeye it would not start before when i used fuel or starter fluid in the air cleaner
