I always use anti-seize compound when installing bolts in situations like this. Works great for spark plugs and lug nuts. It allows the proper torque to be placed on the bolt, but removal is much easier . . . no rust.

Sounds like my lawn mower sitting in the other side of the garage and it has a nice hunk missing from a blade. They sure don't mow rocks like mowers used too.
