MMM \"cushion lift\" adjustment: How often?

Dragged the MMM out of the shed last night. My bed time reading was reviewing the owner's manual. Need to clean it up, grease it and sharpen the blades. I know, I should have done it in the fall, but the snow started a little early.

Anyway, there is a passage in the "assembly" section that describes adjusting the cushion lift. Is this some thing that needs to be done periodically, or is it a set it & forget it, unless the deck insn't cutting evenly?

Don't sweat it. The "cushion lift" is basically a couple springs & tie rods that allow the three point hitch to carry most of the weight of the MMM. The New Hollands are a hybrid floating deck / ground contact setup.

I just put mine back on and didn't adjust anything.
If it is out of level use the crank on the right lift arm to level it.
Just reset the handle stop to the correct lower position.
I had my mower off weekly last year and just pin on and go.
I think the MMM group is rather small.

Sorry about the response. I'm working in Mexico right now and can't always get on line.

I have had a 914A mmm for three years - had it off multiple times each season, and have never adjusted the "cushion Lift". It just keeps on cutting, smooth, even, and without complaints. Keeping it lubed along the 25 hr guideline is important, and keeps me and big blue happy!
