Hi all-
I actually had a similar recent experience (like this week) with my 60-inch MMM (RCK60B-22BX). The only thing I can figure is that when I hit a log (twice - don't ask) fairly solidly a couple of years ago I bent the shaft from the tranny to the deck. It ran fine (I thought) since then, but apparently the wobble got worse and started breaking stuff (but it did take 2 years to break). I never noticed it until the belt let go - shredded it btw. The belt had been nicked earlier so I had a replacement, so no problem. When I went to replace the belt, I turned the PTO shaft and noticed that the main drive pulley wobbled both up/down and fore/aft. Uh oh. Words and phrases such as bent shaft, stripped key, damaged gears and severely unevenly worn pulley (and a lot of other little stuff) are now part of my working knowledge.
I too am considering a 3-pt finish mower - not so much because of this recent event - I'm going to pay the $475 to fix it - but long term the mower deck detach/reattach is a bit of a PITA. I may keep the MMM (someday it'd be a nice package with the tractor for resale) or may sell it, but I'd like to know my options. Hence...
1-would anybody have an idea of a reasonable price for said MMM mower deck, (I've found 3 in various on-line locations ranging from 1000 to 1400). Mine is in good shape (a few paint rubs where the belt let loose, but now it'll have a rebuilt transmission and main hub and a new belt

, and I also have a good second set of blades for it - the first set is good too)
2-What do people think of the Woods PRD 6000 3-point finish mower? My dealer has one that has aged in inventory that I could get at cost but with all the warranty coverage.
Advice & opinions sought. Thanks as always.
