Tires Mixing ag and turf tires?

90 cummins, did it not make a difference in the diameter of the tire. 195/70 14's are the correct diameter replacement. They are 24.9 inches diameter and the 60's are closer to 23" diameter. My data says the 25x8.50 14's are 25" diameter. Am I wrong? Just asking.

The circumference of the 195/70R14's is 77.75 inches.
I checked the actual rolling circumference of the turf tires years ago and it was significantly more, don’t recall the numbers.
I attempted to put the turf tire size into the tire size calculator for dimension comparisons but it would not accept it.
With the original turf tires if I was on a flat hard surface in 4wd it would bind within several feet.
I arrived at the new tire diameter by slowly letting air out of the front tires to reduce the circumference until the driveline would no longer bind.
I then measured to the center of the wheel hub and arrived at approximate dia. Of tire required.
I purchased the Radial tires and fine-tuned the diameter by adjusting the air pressure.
I could then drive down a blacktop road and slip it in and out of 4wd with no binding.

Ok, thanks. Are you using 195/70's or /60's? As I understand you, your stock 25x8.50 14's were too big and you went smaller to relieve the binding?? TIA

Previously I had a Kubota B series. It had turfs; rears weather checked on the sidewalls and would not hold pressure.

I wanted R4, but could not afford all four, so left front turfs on since they were in good shape. Looked up tire diameters; looked like it would work ok.

Wound up blowing front driveline ujoint. Fixed Ujoint and put matching R4 up front. Put another 500 hours on it with no problems. Sold and bought my TC40D, but still talk to the guy that bought the B8200. Three years later it is still going great with properly matched R4's.

I'm using 195/70R14's and yes the 25x8.50 14's were too big so I went smaller to relieve the binding.

Sorry for giving you confusing/wrong information I'm using 195/60R14's.
I don't know how I got confused and started talking about the 195/70's???
The 195/60R14's are the correct match for your rear turfs!
