Mitsubishi Satoh beaver III tractor model #S-373

Hello my name is Don
I have a Mitsubishi Satoh beaver III tractor model #S-373..2 wheel drive ..the handle that raises the tiller up and down on the back is in the down position and wont come up and its not that the handle comes up and the tiller want it痴 the handle want come up to the raise position. Its like it is stuck in the down position. I was hoping someone could tell me something about this and maybe where i might find some of these parts.

Hello, I would try linking up into the Mitsubishi/Satoh Forum.
But, just a quick guess... Because I have a MT372D too. Are you getting fluid pressure on other system points? These tractors use SAE 80 gear oil for hydraulic, not very good filter systems were installed.
Possilbly could be a clogged filter/screen or debris blocking the passage for the lift cylinder?? Fluid levels up? Or that the Hydraulic Pump(s) are slipping on the shaft and not pumping (mine has 2)?
I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation...

i'm just starting my learning curve on my Satoh S-373 D. is there a good source for an operator's manual? also, for the time being, the shop manual i have states "Manufacturer recommends using a high quality transmission/hydraulic oil." does this sound correct? and how do i check and fill or drain the various fluids?

Have you tried Bill Rodgers over at Valley Power or Leonard Sheaffer at Town and Country Tractors? These guys can get you just about anything for Satoh tractors. Also there's a gentleman at Valley Power named Lemuel that really knows his technical stuff when it comes to these tractors.
