I've been having problems with my mitsu for about a year. It started when the tractor wouldn't turn off with the key in the off position, found the alternator to be bad and battery became shot. Replaced battery and alternator then worked correctly. Recently it wouldn't shut off again so it replaced the switch thinking that i might have had a bad contact, I am positive that i put all the wires in the right spot, now with the key in any position the shut off solenoid stays energized, almost like what ever is supposed to tell the solenoid to deenergize is not working. Used to when I went to the off position the fuel shut off solenoid would pick up for a few seconds then drop back out. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You replaced the switch with a direct replacement then? You might go and see if any of the terminals are touch the chassis. Or go back and double check your placement of the wires on the terminals. After that I would follow the wires or wire bundle to see if vibration has cut through the insulation someplace. That can be a pain but just follow along the wires as best you can wiggling them as you go.
