Thanks guys, the tractor belongs to a friend that I am helping out. He went to the local JD shop and they are willing to do it if they can get parts. They said they have been rebuilding them for ten years and have only broke one so far. The tractor was overheating. Radiator was boiled out already. When I took the pump off I noticed a good bit of crud blocking the hole that I think pumps to the engine. Am I correct that the bottom radiator hose is the intake for the pump? Tractor has no thermostat. If we decide to put one in, how hot? Can y'all sell the gasket for the oil fill cap or do you have any used caps? How about a used sediment bowl? I appreciate your help.
Update, my buddy took his pump to Corriher Implement in Newton, NC. They told him they could rebuild it but it did not need to be. So we put it back on yesterday. Also put on new air and fuel filters and a new oil cap. The cap was bought at an auto parts store and was made for some type of Chrysler product, probably made by Mitsubishi. It was a perfect fit.
