Always wanted some mirrors for my JD2305 and this is what I came up with. Had some left over セ metal conduit bent at 90 deg. and thought that it should be strong enough to support a mirror. Found that the conduit would fit inside of 1 plastic pipe, but it was a little to loose. However, after cutting off 3 tie wraps & super gluing them to the bottom of the conduit, it fit just right.
The 1 plastic pipe fit real tight into some plastic hangers, which meant I could drill small holes in the floorboard & then screw into the hanger. Couldn稚 screw into the plastic pipe because I wanted the conduit to adjust up & down, and also rotate. But at the bottom of the plastic pipe I could go all the way through with a 4 1/4x20 bolt and it would act as a stop for the conduit plus a mount for the bottom of the plastic pipe. At the top and on the outside of the plastic pipe is a split ring hanger. It has a thumb screw that is threaded into the pipe & when the height is what is desired, the thumb screw is tightened. The mirrors are from PepBoys, are attached to the metal conduit with 1/2" pipe clamps & a wing nut; they can be moved closer together, further apart or any distance.
Attached are pictures of the parts, plus mirrors down with no FEL, mirrors up with no FEL & finally mirrors up with FEL.
If any body wants to duplicate & needs more info, let me know.
