Kubota L4240 Kubota B7800, Kubota BX2200
I'd like to mount a mirror on my tractor to use when plowing or discing, etc. Does anyone know if there are tractor type mounts available or will I have to make my own?
Thanks.

If you have a TSC store by you check them out. also auto supply stores I.E napa, auto zone etc, have a good # of mirrors at a reasonable cost , am sure you can find something that you can make work.

I've seen plenty of tractors with truck style mirrors ont he loop frames bolted right to the hood. Seem to work just fine..

I put one on my little Kubota. I'd be lost without it on the road. I like to see who's sneakin' up behind me without cranking my neck.

I was thinking about putting a mirror in the pin storage hole on the fel frame for when I am moving the tractor on the road. I don't do that very often and the road isn't busy most of the time but some of those vehicles come up on me pretty fast. If I see them coming I pull out on an approach if I can, a mirror would help. I have a couple of motorcycle mirrors, round with a convex lens so pretty good field of view without sticking out too far.

If you have a steel framed canopy, that makes a good place to mount a mirror. At least that's where I had mine mounted.

Thanks ChuckinNH. That's a good idea, but, I'm not sure if I'd be able to see my plow behind the tractor unless I extend the mirror out to the side, and if I take my loader off I'd still like to have the mirrors. But, it gives me some ideas, in fact all the posts have helped out. Thanks everyone!
I searched out previous posts in Kubotas and found this one by mjncad

Pretty nice job and there are Jeep mirrors available at many auto parts sites. I just have to figure out how I want to mount them.
Thanks again!:)

those all look good, but they all seem to be loader based.

my idea of a mirror is that i will use it a lot under a wide variety of conditions when the loader may be off. the one that springs immediately to mind is when mowing around the house and i need to be wary of any small pets or children behind and around me. ideally i would like the mirror(s) to be mounted low where it won't easily snag on things but still be able to see it easily from the seat and have it stay attached to the tractor with or without the loader.

i don't think the "dash" is strong enough plastic but maybe. possibly a narrow pipe that mounts to the floor board up near the front of the foot rest and just goes straight up without getting in the way of anything else? i don't know, just thinking out loud.... i imagine it (they) would have to be off centered to the side to see around the rear fenders.

now if i had an air conditioned heated cab, this would be easy!
