I have to drive my tractor on the county road to get to part of my land. I wanted a rear view mirror so I wouldn't have to keep looking over my shoulder to see if someone was about to pass me. I don't have a canopy, but I found that by mounting a small car type mirror on the side of the instrument cowling I could see backwards between the seat and fender. I can't see a lot, but I can see when a car is behind me. By mounting it as far forward on the cowling as possible it doesn't interfere with getting on and off. The black ABS plastic is a close match to the cowling in color and texture. The bottom photo shows my black truck in the mirror as seen from the drivers seat.

Not a bad idea!!

Looks like it would be low enough to protect it from tree limbs. Is there a way to get a shot of what you see in the mirror?
