Since Darin hasn't answered yet, allow me ........ Federal Motor Vehicle laws. The units are built for use in foreign countries (mainly Asia) and don't comply US standards.

In fact, I don't think that new vehicles can even be imported .... just used .... maybe before a certain model year.

Darin, please me if I'm wrong.

We Have a daihatsu 4x4 mini with air, 5 sp,xtend cab & roof.
Its the best hunting rig I have ever owned,plus it will haul 7-800 lbs. in the back with 2 people in it with the air cond running. Im shopping around for larger tires at the moment.

I am not sure how or why different States make these strickly off road because I have some customers that have actually registered and insured these trucks for the road. Nebraska and Georgia I know for sure so far. I have not even attempted to here in NY. But also here is another question. How can these off road dune buggies get registered for the road or the kit cars that have not been tested for US regulations. I think it's all about where you are located if you can road legal them. I would check with your local vehicle dept AFTER you buy one of mine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I can tell you that you will still love them even if you can't run them on the road. They are great and am going to be without one for myself at least another month. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I had to try and fit all teh stuff I use to haul in my personal truck into my RTV900. Wow what a difference. After I get my other load of trucks I will be selling the RTV900. It's nice and all but a snail and too small of cargo area compared to these units.

Fred every truck I've shown is like the first attachment. All you would have to do is body lift and suspension lift the trucks and put bigger tires on it. With my truck I don't raise them but put aggressive tires on them to keep em low and centered. Of course I'll customize them anyway a person wants to but then the cost will be higher of course. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif My trucks all painted and ready are from $4500-$5500 if they dump. I paid $11,000 + for my RTV900. The trucks will cruise down the road (road tires) at around 60 mph. Standard transmission, 1500 pounds, almost the same size as the rtv's but have a 4 x 6 bed. Hope this helps.
