Milling Hydraulic Cylinder Crosstube 0.040"

While looking for a machine shop to mill down the end of a cylinder need to consider doing it myself on a small drill miller.
Machine came with a small fly cutter.
Where to start?

Practice on something that isn't your only cylinder would be my first suggestion. If you don't know the machine and you don't know all the variables, such as cutter angle, depth of cut capability, known speeds and feed, then winging it can mess up your cylinder in a hurry.
Now if your an experienced machinist...

There are a few experienced machinists on TBN & can probably help. Some more specifics would help. Maybe a sketch. "mill down the end of a cylinder" is to vague. What are you trying to do?

Was a little frantic for a bit. The little miller is in a container, need the broke tractor to move the generator, ahh, went out for breakfast...
Was heading to a tractor store, saw a machine shop sign, pulled in.
Guy says show me.
He charged 1/2 hour to grind down the wide crosstube, he sent me to Traction Heavy duty parts for the new hydraulic cylinder adapter fittings and Kubota for a new gasket set.
The bent Kubota cylinder should be a week or so.
At least I can get back to work.
New Kubota cylinder would have been $940. Too expensive I thought, still on backorder.
New Magister cylinder $207, grinding $35, fittings $12.
Do not know how much the bent rod repair will be.
