Miller Big 40 Welder

Searched but no luck, was probably doing it wrong. Welder has been sitting for a while, got the Red Seal gas engine running good but no power from the generator.

So far I've cleaned the slip rings and brushes, still nothing on the volt meter. Looked for chewed on wires or broken ones, didn't see anything.

Next chance I was going to ohm the wires from the brushes to the square blocks.

Checked Utube not much help.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated, it did work when I last used it many moons ago.
