I pay attention, Snobdds. But have to admit it's pretty hard to stay interested and engaged in such a gloomy situation that I have no control over.

So who owns this new debt we keep creating? Who are we paying interest to?
I see two choices to live in love and hope or live in fear.

We have two cars on the road today but I am not concerned about the actions of someone in the middle East that I have no control over as long as my energy cost is $0.03 per mile driven.

Who holds the US debt ?
Of the $26.2 trillion of debt held by the public, over 30 percent is owned by foreign entities, roughly 50 percent by private and public domestic entities, and over 20 percent by the Federal Reserve Bank.
Japan owns more than China

BUT you owe it. You and your children. And their children's children.
Brings a whole new meaning to the saying 'Money for nothing'.

Not quite correct EO works just fine in the 'Big Guy's case.
Executive orders can establish policy and allocate funds that congress has already appropriated, but a president cannot spend any money not appropriated by congress.

Yet it happens. Besides, the agenda is set by the exec. He or she proposes a budget. Especially when a friendly Congress is along for the ride, they get what they want.
