Mice poison and cats??

I'm seeing a few signs of mice in my shop sense it's gotten cooler, I'm wanting to put out some decon or something to kill them but am concerned that if a cat gets a hold of on of the dead mice after eating the poison that it can hurt the cat. Anyone know about this?

buy a poison that states no secondary kill.

How do you have mice AND cats? Seems having cats means 'no mice'.

May be cheaper to stop feeding the cats until the mice are gone.

Put out the poison. If the cat only eats dead mice it is worthless anyway.

You could use the glue traps instead

Our local power company uses a product call Fresh Cab as a repellent (not poison) in the power cabinets. Made by a company called EarthKind.

We are trying it this season in our barn. Have not seen a mouse in a while.

I've always heard that mice/rats can't regurgitate (hurl) and the poison kills them. And if a regular animal eats it they just hurl.

I like the good ol mousetrap. After finding a poisoned mouse that stunk up my shop all spring from last winter, I was the the one hurling.

Buy a couple of these: Mouse Trap Tin Cat - Victor - Mfg# M308

The mice go in and can't come out. Remember to empty them regularly. I usually sink the Tin Cat into a 5 gallon bucket of water to euthanize the pesky critters.
