completely rebuilding z134 engine. using I&T manual. engine had been rebuilt about 40 yrs ago by highschool class. The rocker shaft was badly worn. bought new one. Matched old one. When checked oil passages (rockerarm oil holes pointing to valve springs) the oil supply hole is on top of the shaft. The stanchion holding the shaft has the oil feed hole blocked by the shaft. There is no groove in the stanchion to route the oil around to the shaft. Thought of drilling a hole in the bottom of shaft to supply oil to the shaft. Engine is completely rebuilt except for this problem. HELP!
