I had to share this picture of a fuel filter I changed today. The filter had a pinhole leaking fuel.
This is not a 2 piece filter, but the outside canister came out with the lower cap, while the inner filter stayed on the head. There was a substantial amount of sludge on top of the filter and what you see in the picture.
All of this and the tractor ran fine!

It works Because it is an old school Diesel engine. It don’t have all the fancy computer controlled EPA mandated pollution bull$hit on it.
Try that with a modern diesel and you will be looking at a 5K repair bill.
