I owned a 1998 Massey Ferguson 231 for 17 years. It was the best tractor I’ve ever owned. I knew I’d regret selling it.
The outside lever is the Draft Control Lever.
The inside lever is the Position Control Lever.
You will pretty much always use the Position Control Lever unless you are tilling/discing, or using ground engaging equipment.
***The Draft Control Lever MUST BE ALL THE WAY UP for the Position Control Lever to make the 3 point lift function correctly.
