Massey Ferguson 1528
I am building a FEL for my Massey and the service manual for my tractor states that the Relief valve has a cracking pressure of 1849 psi and a relief pressure of 2133 psi. My valve must be hooked up with the power beyond port for the 3PH to work. The valve comes preset at 2000 psi. Do I need to lower the valve to 1849 psi?
Also is there some good advice out there for hooking up the valve? Seems like a lot of hoses coming from the same place! May get crowded! Any special fittings to aid in hooking it up?

When selecting your FEL valve, you need to not make the common mistake of buying a valve with too high a flow rate.

Too large a valve will make controlling the loader with fine movements impossible.
Also, with the too big valve you are inclined to use big hoses which makes packaging difficult.

There is no need to change the new valve's relief setting being as close to spec as it is.

Did you order the power beyond plug or sleeve with the new valve?

I purchased a 10 gpm valve with with the power beyond plug. The tractor flow rate is 7.4 gpm. Plan was to use 3/8” hoses since that was what Massey uses with the 1520 loader.
