MF135
Good day Everyone!

I have an old MF135 where I am having an issue with the generator or voltage regulator and I figured it was time to just upgrade it to an alternator.

I was hoping someone could provide a aftermarket part number (or any guidance) on a good 3-wire sealed alternator that would work for the upgrade. I have read on this forum about AC Delco 10si and 12si alternators being used but they don't seem to be rated for tractor use and don't last that long as they are not sealed and don't have rear bearing support. Or is everyone actually upgrading to an alternator using the actual MF alternator that came with the later MF135 models?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Tim

you can use a CS130 which is much better. details. NovaResource - SI to CS Alternator Conversion you don't want a sealed alternator, those are low current, and the AC Delco 10si and 12si alternators both have rear bearing support, as well as the CS130.. some repair kits don't include the rear bearing, which is absurd, so you have to re-use the old bearing, but they DO come from the factory with a supported rear bearing!..
