I need a replacement Ignition switch for my MF 1020 made by hino. 21 HP Diesel it has 5 leads with screws. Same tractor as the DA 5220. MF # 3280565M92 or Agco # 72102514.

Mine is corroded inside. Anything I can soak it in? It's has a little drain hole on it but a rolled edge so i can't take it apart.

That part number is the same as the number for an ignition switch on a 1010, which is the model I have. The part cost me $75 a few years ago when I replaced mine.

I do not know of any way to clean up the one you have. A dealer should be able to get it for you though. You might want to check eBay too.

I think these switches can't be all that different from those used on other tractors, and if you check on the Chinese Tractor Owners Association forum, you should be able to find a thread on this topic. I think the Jinma owners typically swap the chinese switch for a Ford switch if I'm not mistaken. And it might be a lot cheaper assuming it fits your dash opening. I've learned a ton about these tractors from reading about the problems and solutions the Jinma owners have come up with.

Good luck.

Try Godley auction in Charlotte NC. Don't have a phone number, but they have a web site. I think I've read somewhere before that they handle used parts.

You may find some parts here:

TractorHouse.com - Featured Parts Dealers

OR here:

West Kentucky Tractor Parts - Kevil, Kentucky

I've not tried any of them, just captured them from various threads along the way. But I'd still go with a dealer if it were me. Get a new switch while you still can and it might last a long time for not much more coin than a used one.

look up Yanmar Ignition switch on ebay. Mine looks identical to those with 5 tabs and screws.

Squirt some WD-40 into the key slot.
That will do 2 things, soften up the dry lubricant and flush out any crud.
Worked for me just fine.
Age just plain dries the lube and it becomes hardened to the point that the contacts no longer get made.
ps, I have dismantled a few old switches just to prove my theory.
