Thanks for the reply. I had the entire control valve replaced under warranty thank goodness about 3 yrs ago because 3pt arms would not stay up while bush hogging. they would fall slowly. they replaced valve body and 3 o rings for that. its the item next to the number 4 in the picture. well now im on my own (no warrantee) this time i was running a rock rake and it just fell. everything on tractor works including both pto spindles. just wont lift, it tries about an inch that's it.
Reconnect the hoses. I had this happen to me and one of the connections must have hit an edge and was disconnected, but not obvious.
Hope it is just this simple for ya.

no squealing. it does make an attempt. if memory is right tightening knob under the seat all the way wont let it go down but you still can raise it. believe it or not been hauling 5x5 round bales on a carryall on the back of this thing for 7 yrs and never had any issue ( rolled em off my dump trailer on there of coarse dont be silly it cant lift em) im thinking i blew an oring in control valve somewhere.
I figure if it was plugged you would be hitting the relief and hear the strain?
2 knobs on mine, one is speed other is height.
Maybe someone else with a non-BH model can help?
If you have been carrying far more weight than the 3PH can actually lift I am betting you massively over-pressurized something and blown out a seal, o-ring, or internal passage somewhere. Not a good practice at all. If the hitch cant lift it....it shouldnt have that weight on there supporting it and even worse....transporting that weight with every bump in the ground causing a massive pressure spike
