MF 50 air filter??

I have a MF 50 that I'm trying to get running right. I took the air cleaner off and it is a mess. So the Questions.

Is there a way take the air cleaner apart in order to clean it?
If you can't take it apart how/what do you use to clean it?
If you can't clean it, Do you have to replace the whole unit?
