G'day Everyone,
First post, great forum for someone with an interest in tractors.
I will hopefully be purchasing a new tractor within the next few months and one of the models I'm interested in is from Massey Ferguson and it is in the new MF4700 global series. Being a new model I am having trouble finding any reviews on it. And the fact it isn't available in the USA (I'm in Australia) makes finding any information that hasn't come from the MF marketing department very hard. The model I have been researching is a MF4707 powered by a AGCO POWER AP3. These tractors come out of China :ashamed:
Does anyone know much about these engines? I thought they may be similar to the 4600 series but they aren't. The 4700 seems like a cheaper version of the 4600.
Some of the other tractors I am considering are Kubota M7040, New Holland TT4.75, John Deere 5075E and possibly a Deutz Fahr.
I Currently have a John Deere 5525n and a Massey Ferguson MF20. I do have a soft spot for the John Deere but there are a lot of bad reviews on the 5075e. I like the Kubota but the price is bit of a turn off considering the actual usable PTO horsepower the tractor actually has. I like the look of the New Holland but I have a deep dislike for Fiats and the Deutz ticks all the boxes for price and power but after sales service is bit of a worry.
Anyway enough rambling on from, thanks in advance guys and keep up the good work
