MF 35 cutting off

My Massey Ferguson 35 is cutting off every time I run over uneven time it just starting to do this today? I put a fuel lifter pump on it about 8 operating hours ago and I am wondering if this is a problem that would be caused by a faulty pump?

these were designed to be run on a gravity feed system.

if you indeed have fuel to the carb.. check the float and needle. sometimes the float hinge is bent or damaged and makes the flaot hang up.. either closed or open.. thus starving or flooding the machine. both will stall it.

G'day is this a petrol or diesel model, I am guessing that it is diesel if you put a lift pump on it.

Check for fuel flow at the tap as there should be a small screen inside the fuel tank on the fuel tap, if fuel flow is no good then you will have to remove the tap to clean. Also how high is the fuel level??
