hi all i got a problem that has me wanting to beat my head against the wall. i hope some one here may have run into the same thing before is was bush hogging and the tractor [m.f. 231] reved up then shut down when i cranked it back its like it had air in the fuel system and to a bit to start so i changed the filter looked at the fuel supply and it a good supply from the lift pump and good supply coming out the injecter pump. i blew out all the lines even drain the tank to make sure nothing was in it.the shut off is new and new screen on top and i replaced all the rubber gormets on the lines. bleed it down cranked right up and ran good and strong for a few hours the reved up and shut down again. still acted like air in the system because it took it a bit of cranking to get it primed again. this has done this three times now. whats got me scratching my head is the rev up before shut down. it not like a runaway but a raise in rpm befere it dies. has any one had this problem before? i was more leaning to lift pump valves going bad or can it be some thing with in the injecter pump. any help sure would be very great full.
