Ok I have a 1977 Mf 230 with Perkins diesel i that the name plate has made in us on we’re any of these tractors made in the states also it has a Lucas injection pump on it I cannot find any info on it any help will be greatly appreciated

What do u wanna know about the pump.??
There should b a name plate on the side of it, real close to the bleeder screw..

Ok this the problem I’m having The pump that was on it I’m guessing from factory is a Lucas pump well it went out it Quit pumpin so I ordered another one off eBay aftermarket one which is not a Lucas pump it’s a CAV pump well now we can’t get the static timing set right and it’s not want to run run right it’s running really really rich and you can’t even stay in the barn with it while it’s running I’ve been told bye a few different massy Ferguson guys this tractor didn’t come with a Lucas pump being built in the United States?

Geez... I wish more people knew what they were talking about when it came to inj. pumps..
CAV/Lucas/Delphi are all the same people..
U have to get the exact same pump #.. or at least MAKE SURE you can follow a supervision list..
Give me the original pump # off the original pump name plate.. AND the # off the new pump..& I’ll make sure u got the right one..
U can either post it here or thru a prvt msg..

The 3230f450 (original) is for a mf230.. another pump u can use is a 3230f460
The 3230f350 (new) is for a mf240.. another pump that U can use is a 3230f450..
u wouldn’t be the first one this has happened to.

Let me start by saying I don’t work off tractor models.. if u tell me, I’ve got a MF135 and need a pump and injectors.. I have to ask whats the pump #..
I work w pump and injector #’s..
That being said, when I looked up the specs for the pump # 3230F450..it says it’s for a MF133 w a 3.152 cu in. engine.. but u have a MF230..
And when I looked up the 3230F350.. it says it’s for a MF135.. w a 3.152 cu. in. engine..
I’m thinking there was some pump swapping going on in a past life.. u know, “cuz they look the same, so it’s gotta work.”
U might wanna find out what pump actually goes on a MF230..
