I've decided to rebuild the oil pump on my Massey 2135 with a Z134 Continental gas. I have the AGCO books, but they have no details for this, other than a parts diagram. My oil pressure is lower than I want, about 10-15 psi.

So I bought the z134 oil pump rebuild kit (note that some kits don't include the pump seal, I got one without, and had to wait another week for delivery of that seal)

Now, I'm working on dropping the oil pan. I drained the oil, and I removed most of the bolts. The current problem is the long 12" bolts that attach the front of the oil pan to the front underplate of the loader.

Has anyone else removed those bolts, and are there any tips for that?

While you are in there, check the clearance of the main and rod bearings. They may be excessively loose causing low oil pressure.

Are there any other bolts on the front underplate of the loader? Without seeing the front loader support to see how it mounted to the tractor its hard to tell what needs to be done (a picture or two will help). Since the oil pan on the Z134 holds the entire front axle support to the tractor you will need to support the tractor underneath the transmission, and the front axle support.

Here are the pics I have now
This one is the 12" bolt without the rear nut/lockwasher

This is with the washer/nut on, pointing with the 15/16" wrench to the cast iron nub of the oil pan that the bolt goes through

And the Schematic drawing of oil pan/pump

I had the engines mixed up, the Z134 only has 2 bolts from the oil pan to front support, After supporting the transmission you can slowly loosen the other four bolts at the engine/front support enough to put a about a 1/16" shim between them, and tighten them up that should give you the room to drop the oil pan. The bottom two 12" bolts only need to come forward enough so they clear the front of the oil pan.

I spent the day cleaning out the shed (1 car garage) so I can bring the tractor in and use the new 3 ton jack on the concrete slab.
