Did the 1967 MF 165 come out with a generator or an alternator? Also do they make a wiring harness to buy new or do you have to make your own?

My guess would be for 1967 an alternator (delco -remy) Check with this place or this one for your tractor needs... Maybe they will be able to help.

I've got a 1968 MF 136 Deluxe and it has a generator so I woudl guess that yours has a generator as well.
Post a pic of it, I believe the 135 uses the same generator as the 165. I have been told it's not hard to hook up a one wire alternator, but I have not doen it yet. When the generator goes out the alternator gets purchased and put in.

Al, I guess I should have checked my book first.. My 1967 135 has an alternator, I was thinking about chevrolet's in 67 having alternators.
So I assumed the tractor industry would have switched by that time also but I was wrong /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ,sorry for the bad info

I've been searching different web sites for my MF 65 w/ perkins diesal.. I'm actually looking for an original swinging drawbar assembly.. here are a few places you might look for MF parts.
