mf 165 serial number

Just wondering if there is a way to tell what year a mf 165 diesle is with out the data plate on the steering colum? Seems there is a rash of removal around here to get parts with the data plate in hanc ?
The only numbers on the motor are cast C371122101 B278 and stamped at the top are 203ua456298.

All I can add is the older ones made in the sixties had the round rear axles and the ones made in the early seventies had the square rear axle. Ken Sweet
