HI all, my friend has a MF 165 and the steering is dangerously loose. All the slop is in the pivot pin / power steering control mechanism in front of the radiator behid the grille. I found .040" slop caused by wear on the pin; the bronze mikes out okay, so the steel wore, not the bronze! Also the splines are pretty loose, about .010". Anyone know where I can get a new pivot pin reasonably priced? Also in the market for a new PS pump, Parker-Hannefin, the dealer wants $550 which seems a bit high. Anyone know of a source for a rebuilt pump?
Also would like to compare notes with anyone familiar with the MF165 steering issues and their experiences!
Thanks

G'day if you jump on the bare co site you will find bits you need aftermarket however I do not know how their dealer network is going over there yet. There are quite a few aftermarket suppliers for this sort of thing sparex and bepco are another two that spring to mind. Good luck with it
