MF 158
A question for you guys: My MF 158 3 points hydraulics lift drifts down when the diverter valve gives pressure to the external component, and there is a load on the 3 point lift. Before I go ahead and try to replace rings on the lift piston, is there something else that may cause it?

Hi Baruch,

Your thinking is sound to me, but I'm working off first principles not experience on a 158. If it's drifting down after the diverter is switched, then there's a leak between the diversion point up to and including the piston/cylinder. Given the piston/cylinder is the only moving component in those parts, I would look there. I'm guessing that means lifting the top cover. I've lifted the cover on 35 using a chain block, mostly so I could lower it carefully when refitting.
