MF 1529 wont keep running

I have been trying to track down the following problem for about 2 years now... My tractor will start and run but after a few mins or half an hour it will stop... it might start right up or it might take a few times to catch... when I turn the key it will run and when I let go it will stop.... it sounded like I had a problem with the fuel solenoid so I removed it and the tractor ran fine... I replaced the fuel solenoid and the problem persisted.... it seems like the pull circuit is working properly but the hold circuit is either shorting out or has a broken wire.... I ran a wire direct from the battery to the hold circuit and the tractor works fine...I just have to disconnect it to turn it off... PITA. So I figured I would have a go at tracing the wire.. I removed the plastic dash and was undoing all the connectors and spraying with contact cleaner... (it was filthy under there)... I left the tractor running and was wiggling connectors when it suddenly died.... looks like it might have a bad engine stop relay.... anybody have any idea what the part number is for this?.... I would like to replace it but I cant find any info on it

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

You didn't mention it in your post but have you put an inspection camera down into the fuel tank? You could have a biological growth or an obstruction happening. A blocked air-vent on the fuel cap could also be a contributing factor.

I havent put a camera in the fuel tank, I am pretty sure that my problem is electrical as it will run fine with the fuel solenoid removed.

Ok did you find the fuel relay online and does it look the same

I will now try to post some pics of the suspect relay
It is located on the right side just under the dash cowling

Here is a picture of it removed

I jumped the power lead from the ignition to the wire going to the hold circuit in the fuel solenoid and now it will run fine and turn off with the key....not sure what the purpose of this relay is

I don't think that's a relay The one to the right of the red arrow is a relay .

I believe it pulls the fuel stop in on 12 volts then holds it in on a lower voltage ... jd has something like that I had trouble with...
