Hi Egon, Thanks for the reply. I 'm not much of a mechanic. I'm wondering if I put in an additive of some sort if that would solve the problem. I live on the Canadian Prarries. I filled it up with fuel at a gas station when I was bringing it home after purchasing it, the fuel looked kind of frosty, like the top of an A&W rootbeer mug. Any thoughts?
And neither am I. Putting the fuel additive in surely will not hurt. The warmer weather you are getting now might help if it is a waxing or water problem.
That was fast, I've only filled it the one time, as I just bought it. Do you know what kind of additive to put in? (I don't wont to put the wrong thing in and make it worse. Thanks!
Go to one of your local truck stops and ask them as there are many different types and the one I use may not be available in your area. Do not use anything that has alcohol in it.
You might also want to change the fuel filter and drain some fuel to make sure there is no water in the tank. [Might be ice right now] Warm up the engine before changing the filter.
