Mf 135 sitting for over a decade

Hi

This is my first post and new to tractors

I have the use of an old MF 135 Perkin 3 cyl Diesel (actually not yet sure of the year defo sixties, think its one of the earlier models) and wish to get her going again.

Can manage most repairs on cars but draw the line at internal engine and gearbox works.

The tractor has been sitting 10 years (so engine seized) and seems like water may have entered though the exhaust pipe although the water hole in exhaust is free from blockage.

I took off the 3 injectors and poured petrol down and the cylinders, the fuel disappeared from two of them but remained in the center cylinder overnight

I imagine this ones the culprit if not all three. Was going to try brake fluid next.

Is it difficult to take off the head and inspect piston rings? I have actually no idea on how to go about doing this!

Instead of fuel oil, pour tranny fluid in. Leave it to set in there for a day. Use a breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley bolt or use a pry bar on the flywheel and start manually working (while leaving injectors or glow plugs removed, no compression for this part) the rotating assembly back and forth while freeing the pistons.

Keep doing this until you can get a full 2 revolutions of the crankshaft. Once you do this, blow the holes out with your air compressor and put the injectors or glow plugs back in place and use the starter and turn it. You have a 95% of success based on what I have seen in my past watching my father in law do this kind of thing.

Change the engine oil and filter real quick if it does start up and sound like it's going to run.

This fellow is definitely on the money. I have freed up a couple stuck motors myself using this technique.

Thanks for the advice will be trying the trans fluid next.

I just did the same thing on a Ford 3910 i used a mix of ATF and Acetone to make sure the mix would get down into it.
once it broke free i used the starter and just oil in the cylinders to work it a little bit.
then changed the filters and oil.
runs good now,

Once you get the engine to turn, the injection pump AND injectors ARE GOING TO BE STUCK/frozen..
LOTS of videos on repairing both on utube.
IF you were closer, I'd love to tackle that job..
