Well as a friend and I have stepped up our hay operations substantially this year (went from 8 acres to 58) it became time to add a remote to the 135. I bought the tisco kit HV4211 with the ts300 isolator valve and the fender mounted control valve. Installation was very simple.

During installation the tube from the pump came out. We changed the o-rings on it, reseated it and verified that fluid was being pumped up the tube prior to installing the isolator valve.

After completion the tractor was started and although the 3 point works with the draft control I get nothing to the remotes at all. I have put the isolator valve in either the forward or rearward positions and nothing comes out either the front or rear ports of the valve. I took the plug out the front port and hose off the rear port to verify this condition.

My position control lever has been broken since I purchased the tractor and I am fearing this may be part of the problem but I should at least get fluid out the isolator valve ports if the 3 point works shouldn't I?

My thought is that I have a faulty isolator valve. Anyone got any advice on this?

Well after further inspection of the isolator valve it is too simple to have gone bad. Took the main shaft out and everything is just fine and positioned correctly.

I am going to remove the lift cover and go through the position control lever assembly as it's broken and in a bind. I have the massey ferguson shop manual as a guide. Anyone have any pointers or pitfalls to avoid during the process?

As of right now the lift cover is on my workbench. I have managed to free the stuck position control shaft (thanks kroil). While looking at the quadrant trying to determine where to locate the control lever so I can weld it back on the shaft I noticed a really small spring hanging off one of the quadrant arms. I don't see where the other end is supposed to attach to. I'll keep looking but just in case does anyone have a clue here?

Back to work for now.

O.K. a little slow around here today. So after a long day of tinkering with the tractor it's working properly. To summarize;

The remotes would not work but the 3 point did. When I put the isolator valve in the remote postion no fluid at all came out of it.

I removed the lift cover and freed up the shaft that works the postion control. Then I carefully determined where the position of the shaft had to be so I could weld it back on. Along the way I noticed a spring inside that was connected on one end to a quadrant arm. I found the place to reconnect it.

At this point I cleaned the gasket surfaces and put a bead of rtv on. I would have preferred a gasket but time was an issue here. Then I reinstalled the lift cover and put the tractor back together.

I took alot of pictures and could do a sort of play by play with photos if anyone were interested.

For right now I am just happy it works and realized how easy the repair was. I figured it would be much worse.

My hydraulics are kinda messed up and I only get movement, very slow and jerky on the 3ph if the levers are at the top of there range. I would not mind seeing some picks. Did you have to drain some\all the oil?

If you don't mind my asking, how much for the HV4211 kit? Ken Sweet

Hi Dave. Had to rig the hydraulics on my 135 too, the maual gives good directions for clearances etc.

Once I got it cleaned up it went well, sticky plunger and adjustment of the gap (knurled stop) and it's working like a charm. Had to replace the o-ring at both the pump side and the top of the sandpipe as well, a lot more responsive now.

Dave, if you do the work through the side covers you will need to drain some of the oil out to prevent loss, I found about 4 litres did the trick.

Ken the kit cost $400. Shipping about 25.

Dave, Mike is on the right track. You can replace the standpipe o-rings by just removing the cover on the front right of the lift cover and pulling the standpipe out. It's a little tricky to get it reseated but not to bad. Just make sure it pumps fluid up the pipe before reinstalling the cover. You can do this by bumping the starter. Make sure (as in disable it)the tractor doesn't start or you'll have a huge mess on your hands. Can be done in 10-15 minutes.

When I look in my Tisco applications, I see it calling for a TS 3200M valve for that tractor. What do you think is the difference in the 2 valves? They both have the isolator valve and then go to the 1 spool valve mounted on the right fender with 2 lines going out the back? Ken Sweet
