Don't know that I can be of much help. I purchased a used 1260 a year ago and have been very happy with it, not a minute of buyer's remorse. It has been a reliable machine for me, and has met all of my expectations.

Regards

Barry

I bought a used 1250 with FEL a few months ago. The prior owner welded a crack on the right side upper arm of the FEL. But he didn't reinforce it. I loaded about 50 yards of topsoil with it and the weld failed and a crack developed on the left side upper arm. I took the arms to a welding shop who repaired the cracks and added heavy steel reinforcements. Doesn't look great, but works like new. I also run a 5 foot brush hog with no problems. Overall, I'm happy with the unit.

I have a MF 1250 bought used about 5 years ago. Overall I think it is a good tractor but feel like I have had more issues that I should have had.

The shuttle shift fork in the transmission broke.
PTO solenoid sticks sometimes so PTO does not engage.
Safety switch in the seat caused the tractor to not start. No more switch fixed that.
Alternator went out.
Exhaust manifold gasket is leaking.
Loader support bracket from mount to front of the tractor is broken as a previous poster described.
Bolts inside the transmission to the engine are loose or broken. Tractor is now on the trailer to be split to determine extent of damage if any.
The parking brake lock will not stay engaged at times so I do not trust it.

Overall I have been pleased with the tractor for what I paid used for it. I think the issue with the loader is the result of the bolts between the engine and transmission coming loose inside the bell housing area. This tractor had been split before I bought it and I think the mechanic did not properly tighted the bolts. Since I am off work today, I wil split the tractor and find out.
