The 1246 loader has always been red, but the bucket changed to black last year. As far as joysticks go, there are two placements available. One that mounts on the right loader upright. The other one mounts on the front of the right fender. The fender mount stays with the tractor if you take the loader off. That way you could use it for other things. Mine has the loader mount one. I don’t like the way the fender mount is attached.

You are correct with regard to the placement of the joystick. Mine has the joystick mounted on the loader too.

Have a tire question, my rear tires are loaded and over time they have started to leak, any easy way to change out the leaky valve stem?

Rotate the valve to the top. Then take the stem out slowly. The tires shouldn’t be filled to the top. The fluid should only be a little higher than the rim. You can then take it out.
