MF 1250 Engine Removal

Has anybody pulled a MF 120 Engine ? Does the dash and firewall need to be removed to get the engine out?

did you mean 1250?

On a 1250 you will split just in front of the "firewall" at the clutch housing & then split the front axle off.

What happened? Service manual is a good idea if you're getting in this far.

I have not split my 1250 but I have tightened the bell housing bolts. You will have to remove the cowl to get to the top bell housing bolts. Steering shaft will have to separate just beyond the firewall. Not really that bad of a job.

What happened to the engine?
