MF 1235 3 cylinder diesel iseki engine

I have a MF 1235 3cyl. diesel iseki and it only has 10 lbs of oil pressure. My question is: What is the operating oil pressure supposed to be? I have changed the filter and put in a new gauge.

Was the gauge you installed electric? If it was maybe the sender is bad. When changing electric gauges it is always a good idea the buy the matched sending unit and change both out. You could always attach a known good mechanical pressure gauge temporarily to the engine and then you would know for sure what the oil pressure is.

I dumped the idiot lights and installed all mechanical gauges on my ISEKI 3 cyl. diesel.....it sure helped alot when I decieded to sell my tractor....it always run about 40 lbs or more when warmed up to operating temp.....oil pressure will drop somewhat.....10 lbs sounds a little on the low side....is this is what it reads on cold start up?...or is it 10 lbs after it reaches operating temp? anyhow just me sticking my nose into the forum again....Ampa<>
