Have been troubleshooting starting problems with a Massey Ferguson 1140 and have concluded that the safety and/or relay switches are suspect. No one has been able to describe accurately where these little switches are however and I've been unsuccessful in locating them myself. They are on the wiring diagram but are hidden away somewhere. Does anyone know where they are located?

Sorry i can't help with that! But why don't you call a dealer and ask them? Most will be helpful and tell you where to look.

There is one on the clutch pedal under the dash. There is one on the regular gearshift lever under the right fender. Then, the PTO switch on the dash will also keep the tractor from starting.
