MF 1030 serial # and year make

I just recently purchased a MF 1030, and tried to look up the serial # on machinerylink.com, but could not find it. The # is 40577, but the closest I could find on that site was 40377. Could anyone offer any help on this one? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Possible it is a 1984. The 1985 model started at 40600
