Hello: My MF 1030 seems to have the left rear brake sticking. I have turned the adjustable brake rod under the tractor all the way out and even disconnected that brake from the pedal and still the brake is partly engaged with no other apparent way to adjust further. I don't have a manual so any help in determining how to resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated. thx

Hello Greg,
I sent you info. from my manual but the sticking is not addressed.
Since the brake disc is a wet system, the oil could be low or contaminated etc. but this would be unusual to affect only one side.
I would try to lubricate all the pivots and linkages to make sure the one side is not mechanically sticking. Disconnect the linkage and move it back and forth by hand if possible to see if it binds. Spray penetrating oil in areas thatare hard to access.
Hope that helps.
Tom

thx Tom, I tried disconnecting the linkage to see if that would work. It appears that there is no binding at the linkage. Actually when you first start up the tractor the brakes seem ok. It's only operated it for a few minutes that the one brake binds up a bit. one question though, what is the fluid that works with the brakes? I want to drain and replace it. Have to get myself a manual from somewhere.

The correct hydraulic oil is Permatran III but as I understand it it now carries an AGCO name. A MF dealer will have it.
