Metal Roof - Help

I am trying to find Metal Roof material from one of my buildings. Haven't had luck with local folks. This appears to be a stamped aluminum material.

Not trying to be negative, but I've seen that material and if it was my problem I would replace it all if I had a problem. It's very flimsy, if it's what I've seen.
Try to find a metal roofing products dealer and price galvalume panels to replace the entire roof. You'll be much better off in the long run.

I agree, it may cost a few bucks but will be well worth it in the long run.

I appreciate the advice. It is thin - been on the garage roof at least 25 years and the corn crib. I think the thinness may be an advantage - not sure. Hasn't rusted or needed paint still looks pretty good. Anyway, all but a small section has held up - wind blew it off. If I can't find some replacement panels I'll either go with asphalt or another metal product.

I am thinking maybe ALCOA made it.

I've seen that patern, but no idea where to get it.

Ick on asphault shingles, they don't last a darn on my out buildings. Good tin and you are good for the rest of your life. Bummer on the wind, we have had our share too this summer, lost 20 trees or so, but the buildings held up.

The others are right. It is very flimsy material (if it's what I think it is). I used it to cover a lawnmower shed that I threw up quickly. I think what I used came from underpinning on a mobile home. I had to piece it together to cover the 10'x10' shed. It was cheap (free) and keeps the mower dry. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's definately Alcoa. In 2002 I took down & reassembled a 50x120 barn and salvaged every inch of roofing. It was originally built in 1966. I used gasketed screws instead of the nails. The biggest problem with aluminun roofing is tearing when the fasteners get loose.
