Metal Guard BX24 Rubber Boot

Here are some Pics of a front guard on the rubber boot to keep it from ripping when going through heavy brush with the BX it is made from 1 7/8 exhaust pipe.

Really nice work, lowboy. After having to patch my torn boot last week, I've been trying to figure out a way to get this kind of protection. Looks like a real solid way to mount it and with the cutout on the back side you've got the clearance for the turning.

The only drawback I can see is you must have sent a while cutting, bending, and welding. Care to go into the steering guard fabrication business?

LowBoy, my compliments to you for a very ingenius and beautiful piece of work. I would greatly enjoy seeing any photos that you might have taken during the multiple steps that you followed to achieve these fine results.

You can buy the rubber boot at any auto store ( Auto Zone Pep Boys Advange Auto ) it is a small tie rod end dust cover it is usually in the section were rplacement hard to find parts are ( door handles knobs plastic connector ) the cost is around 3.00 and it is a exact fit

I agree.... where do I sent the check... fabrication in not a skill I have... I measure twice, cut once then do it all one more time Sell the design to the Bio-Tec guy if you don't want to make some more... might be in either case some extra money for toys...

Hey Jimmy...The good thing of messing with metal is if you cut it too short, you can always weld on some more. You cut a piece of wood too short and yer done!

That looks good, looks like something I could maybe get done although I was thinking along anothe route. I'm still waiting for some info on the fender brackets and how they are attached to the hub. I really like the looks of the fenders.
