working with my 20 HST it suddenly stopped and then some smoke. My batt cable was melted through on frame next to output from the exhaust pipe. I think they routed the cable incorrectly when putting together. I Replaced and rerouted, everthing seems fine. Cables were all in looms and attached to frame? Anyone else have this happen? The smoke was from the plastic looms and cables melting.

Hey Play,

Do you think the cable was melted by hot exaust pipe, or rubbed through from vibration? How many hours are on the tractor?

I'm thinking that the cable was routed wrong along the frame everything seemed solid and not moving around. I was in short grass moving some dirt so there wasn't the possiility of cable being pushed up and into exahust, the exhaust pipe is what melted it though.
