Greetings, all. Putting this in the TYM slot because of them now owning Branson and I believe they still use Kukje engines with mechanical injectors. Question: is there or is there not a "cup" at the "head" end of an injector (in my case a A1700; 2011 vintage engine) that can/should be pried out when removing/replacing injectors? I've seen pictorials that seem to indicate this is the case; while I've also seen them that only depict the copper washer at the end of the injector. My intuition (I'm not well versed in the diesel world, btw) tells me there almost has to be a cup but again, despite having a service manual (that someone seems to have put together using copies of various parts of the real one . . .) I just don't know and I don't want to screw anything up by trying to pry out something that wasn't meant to be pried out. By the way, does anyone know the difference between a Kukje A1700N2 and A1700N3 engines? Thanks in advance.
